The Eighties introduced a brand new motion in art and design that was to dominate for a lot of years. Art Nouveau posters are very popular in the present day as they seize some of the pleasure of that period. Style, buildings, stained glass, jewelry, textiles and furnishings are a few of the areas that had been influenced.

The motion produced the most effective work from many high profile artists and designers, a few of whom are represented in Art Nouveau posters, out there today. Most people are aware of the art of Austrian painter Gustav Klimt. His work is reproduced on cushion covers, bookmarks and prints. Most of his photographs are of feminine models and the chief shade is gold. His most famous painting, The Kiss is accessible as a poster, as is The Tree of Life, Mother and Little one, Water Serpents, and Farm Garden with Sunflowers.

English illustrator Aubrey Beardsley is one other artist who remains to be popular today. His ink drawings are sometimes reproduced. His most famous work is the illustrations he did for books and plays, often depicting mythological and historic figures.  He labored with Oscar Wilde on his play, Salome and Le Morte d'Arthur, a ebook by Thomas Malory. Some of the influential designers to return from the motion was Charles Rennie Mackintosh. He designed jewelry, furniture and entire buildings. He was from Scotland and lots of his work has been collected together in Glasgow. His fame unfold throughout the world following his death. Posters are available for Wild Party, Charles Lindbergh and Plane, and Design for Mural Decoration of First Flooring Room of Miss Cranston's Buchanon Avenue Tea Rooms. The last one is a copy of labor achieved for Miss Cranston, a significant patron of Mackintosh's in Glasgow and owner of stylish tea rooms in the city.

Much less of a family title however just as influential is the Czech artist Alphonse Mucha. His output included work, commercial posters, guide illustrations, theatre sets, wallpaper, carpets, and jewelry. Certainly one of his most luxurious works is a stained glass window in St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague. He was the favorite artist of Sarah Bernhardt, the most well-known actress of her day, and he produced a number of ads for her plays. He also depicted Maude Adams in the function of Joan the Arc in 1909.

There was a resurgence of interest in his work within the Sixties when illustrators utilizing psychedelia strategies turned to him for inspiration. His influence will be seen in comic books and album covers. His life and work is celebrated in a museum devoted to him in Prague.
